VOV Lipstick Wood Brown

I am back with yet another lipstick from VOV. The shade is called wood brown. This is the shade I bought along with the previous one I reviewed. I am not going to make you jealous after this as I have no more shades from VOV to review. But that is only today’s story, who knows I might buy more from them tomorrow 
Read on to know how this one fared on me.

My experience with VOV Lipstick Wood Brown:
Packaging: it comes in a transparent glass kind of packaging and the shade is shown at the base. Number and name are printed on the sticker at one end. I must say the packaging is really impressive and looks like it comes from a very expensive brand. The twisting mechanism sometimes turns out to be defective- that is another story.
Quality: the texture is smooth buttery kind. It is almost like Revlon colorburst range. It is even and smooth on application and the sheen of the freshly applied lipstick stays on me for good 2 hours. You cannot call it a matte lipstick. It does not dry out the lips at all.
Odour: It is completely odourless unlike other lipsticks of lower price range. I do sniff out each and every lipstick after having an awful experience with Colorbar take me as I am ones in terms of smell. (I bought them before they were reviewed on IMBB, otherwise I would have known about the smell )
Shade: the shade does not go with its name. It is neither woody nor brown Ok, so this shade is peachy pink kind. I describe it as a fresh pink or the pink you get to see in English pink roses. I love such kind of shades. You can say it is somewhat similar to Elle 18 pinken. You might like to apply these shades at home or in the morning when you do not want to wear a dark shade straight away. College goers – this is the best shade for you out there. It can also be worn by girls with pigmented lips. Though the swatch gives an illusion of this being a sheer shade but it is not. It is not that saucy and does not bleed at all, unlike pinken.
Staying power: it stays for quite long too. It goes for around 4-5 hours and after that it lightens a bit to leave a pinkish residue on the lips. If you eat something, the color would lighten but it would be there. Even if you try to remove with cotton, it would not go without a makeup remover.

• The glass packaging is prone to breakage.
• No ingredients mentioned.
• Availability is a problem for some.
• Sometimes the rotating mechanism may turn out to be defective, but that is a rare chance.
Will I repurchase VOV Lipstick Wood Brown?
Yes absolutely. This is an everyday shade which would get over soon.
Recommendation: College goers should grab it soon. Married women who like to apply lighter shades sometimes can buy this too. At this price you can buy almost every shade without being guilty at all.
